Butterflies in my Stomach

I'm not exactly sure what my issue is today. I have major butterflies! I can't seem to shake the feeling! I had some unexpected sales today. That may be causing the stomach turmoil. But the packages are mailed so...think rabbit! I suppose the fact that Valentine's Day is right around the corner may have something to do with it. I think that's it! I have so much jewelry I never got listed for sale. It's burning a hole through my dining room table as I write this! Alas it's too late to arrive tied in silky ribbons for Saturday.

What? You forgot about Valentine's day?! Oh no! Well, there's always the last minute trip to Hallmark or my personal favorite Papyrus. We don't have a Papyrus store anywhere near us. It makes me melancholy. I used to spend hours upon hours picking out just the right cards there. I know they have an on-line store but the selection is just not the same. Plus I like to read the card in my hot little hands. If the ink particles are lined up crooked I put it back. Then I have to make sure the corners aren't bent and the glue on the envelope looks clean! [Chuckles] But seriously, this will be the first year I'm not sending oodles of cards to my family and friends. Unless of course I get busy tonight and create something with my own two hands.

That's it! That's part of my anxiety. My yearly routine has been jostled by my move to a sleepy little one convenience store town! I am decided! I am going to go right downstairs and make my own Valentine's cards! Think of the money I'll save! As for the jewelry on the table? Perhaps a friend or family member will be the lucky recipient of some gorgeous earrings and necklaces soon! [Light bulb flashes] Take care fellow bloggers! I have a challenge to arise to!

A crazy little thing called blogging

"What is a blog and why do I need one?" I found myself asking Carla. If you know her you will smile. I must say, eBay groups are fortunate to have her! What a sweet, caring woman. So she went into great depths of explaining the whys and what-nots of enticing me into the unfamiliar territory of social marketing. I sat fixated on her every word. Gotta love Skype. Another new thing for me, the magical power of the internet phone call. If you have a headset with earphones and a speaker deal you can partake in the joy too. There's so much to learn I complained. "Well take it one day at a time" she told me. These "One on One" classes are such fun I thought to myself.

Okay, one day at a time, I can do that. Baby steps. So here we go together on this journey. After all, I want to market myself. At least my product anyway. So this is one way I can reach people to let them know who I am and why on earth they might want to check out Designs By Sharla! I've gotta be a purple cow. I love purple by the way. Always have. Although I did go through a brown stage. People tend to frown when you tell them your favorite color is brown though. What's the big deal I'd say. Chocolate is brown and what's wrong with chocolate? Ha! Got them there!

I hope to convey a sense of humor in my blog and hope you might join me in my musings. Talking to myself is one thing but having someone join in...well ain't that a party! Hey, thanks for dropping in! Please feel free to comment and follow and all that good stuff! By all means do check out my eBay store if you haven't already.

Chat with you later. Time to run to the market now that it's not snowing. I'm in desperate need for macaroni & cheese among other emergency foods. Massive snow can prevent one from running to the market to whip up meals on the fly. I need emergency back up. Tootles for now!
